MADRID, Spain–A drummer for the Swedish pop band ABBA was found dead with cuts to his neck in the garden of his house on the Spanish island of Mallorca but police said Monday an autopsy showed it was an accident.

A neighbour found the body of Ola Brunkert on Sunday evening at his house in a coastal area outside the eastern town of Arta, a Civil Guard spokesman told The Associated Press on condition of anonymity.

He said an autopsy was carried out and confirmed initial investigations. "It was an accident," he said.

The spokesman said Brunkert hit his head against a glass door in his dining room, shattering the glass and cutting himself on the neck. He managed to wrap a towel around his neck and left the house to seek help but collapsed in the garden.

Ah, Ola...we hardly knew ye.

Wow how tragic! Working in the garden one moment and gone another. So sad.

I believe all four members of 10 cc are still alive.

I know for sure that both Godley and Creme are.

I must be thinking of another band. This guy was found with pesticides in his system in his yard/garden and they thought it was a reaction to fertilizer, but drugs may also have been involved. A 70s band full of seasoned studio musicians who had some chart toppers. Hmmm?? It will come to me.

Oh, that was Jeff Porcaro from Toto. He died suddenly in 1992 from an allergic reaction to a pesticide he was using...

Must be a drummer thing - shades of Spinal Tap!

I know that was in bad taste, but he has been dead for a bit now. Sorry if I offended anyone.
