depends upon the newborns. in my family they weight between 8 & 12 pounds at birth, that's why i passed on babies.

sounds like my own kids... the smallest (in weight) was 8 lbs and the largest was 11 1/2 lbs.
Now the smallest is still the shortest, and only 5'4.5" tall, and the largest is the tallest - 6'4" but they are all taller than me, even if only by a half inch... but I used to be as tall as the shortest.

No, no! Everybody buys little stuff! It was so cool to have something fun to put on her since the last round of shopping is beginning to get a little snug!

Nah Ozzie, all the rage, at least in this country, is to go BIG on the clothes. And that way, as long as it doesn't strangle the little tykes, they can grow into it

I always buy something larger for newborns -- I figure all kids eventually wear overalls, and it's my favourite look for boys and girls. After all, it's the only time in one's life when a big, baggy butt is ultra-cute!

No sure why, but that pic makes her look bigger than she is, I think. Maybe it's the T shirt. Makes her look older than a onesie does. :)

ah, okay... It's like you guys were filling her shoes with manure or something, she seems so tall and so much bigger than the last pics you sent of her birthday. Abbie will be 7 months old tomorrow, talking about hard to believe... and she has the same sort of hairdo as Piper... LOL that "it's easy to care for" natural look. She looks bigger and bigger to me each week, but considering that she's not walking yet, she seems so small.
I think the photo makes Piper look like her legs are VERY long!
