This is my saddest time of the year. Love that extra hour to sleep. Oh well, I'll get it back in the fall.

Oh wow! Thank you. After five decades of griping about them stealing that damn hour from me each year and calling it "savings", I finally see the positive in in all.
I now formally embrace Daylight Savings Time.
Let that be a lesson to you olive haters: It is never too late.

Jenn let me know if you need any help this week preparing for the St. Pat's visitors...

Almost every morning this winter I've had a cardinal outside my bedroom window start the day at the break of dawn. Like a rooster, loud but not as rude. About 5:30 to 6:30am. Way better than an alarm clock.
Now I gotta go back to the clock because he's late? Bulls$%t.
And I'm going to have to deal with about too many PCs tomorrow that didn't flip, so f&#k Bill Gates and the crapolians that came up with this crapola idea.

hmm. my home pc changed time on its own. heck i got a clock upstairs that did too. my w*rk pc gets flipped thru the network.
what century is your office?
ps - my alarm dog has not been predictable for weeks. she used to wake me early to be let out, but since an illness her internal clock is whacked.

There used to be a mockingbird that roosted in a tree outside my window in the early '90s. Every morning, beginning around 4:00 A.M., it would run through its entire repertoire of imitations of car alarms. In general, I consider myself an animal lover, but I often wished I could get my hands on that bird! :)

Too funny, because these are engineers' PCs that still run WIN98 (one 95er) that won't update the CMOS. Can't get them unstuck from DOS and 1991. But they pay me to keep these old beasts running and backed up. It's only five out of 70+ I administer but it is a PITA. Espcially on PCs that the users make $$$$$ more than I do...

and along with changing the batteries in the smoke detectors,
you will need to dust off the vacuum tubes in those pc's.
do they have floppy drives?

that's a common dream in st. louis around opening day.
a dalmation rides on the beer wagon pulled by the clydesdale, which traditionally enters the Busch stadium first to the start the parade.
this occurs during the Cardinals first home game of the season.
so you just mixed the two. it has nothing to do with the team going to the dogs. we adding a new stat, felony arrests.

I like longer days and more sunlight. I hate leaving work when it is dark, it's like I missed the whole day (which it actually is);)

My neighbor reported that a Red-Tail took out a dove in my front yard the other day. Yay, for him. Good to see the top of the foodchain working. A sign of healthy eco-systems.

Well, I can understand that - having worked retail during Christmas (when you'd go in so early and leave so late that it was dark at both times) . . . but I do hate to lose that hour of precious slumber - cause I'm lazy that way :o

At first I thought that was weird too. Then I remembered that that the 'yotes are in bloom in NM right now ;)
I don't set the clocks up until I get out of bed on Sunday. That lessens the sleep deprivation feeling.
Somebody mentioned a mockingbird earlier. We've got one in our hood that sounds like a car alarm. It's awesome.

Joe and I used to watch In-Fisherman, a hilarious fishing show featuring serious Minnesota accents. Learned stuff too.
They always had the sound of Loons plying in the background, and one summer a mockingbird picked it up, and we had Loon Song in our hood all the time. It was cool.
