Sounds like a fine ol' time to me!!!

After all this time, I have yet to set foot inside the Port O Call, (not a burger guy) and I have also never been to Domilise's either, but I am looking to finally try it out this weekend, if I get the chance.

Keep us all updated on how the new job goes this week, I am sure you will do great!!!

Hey Matthew! Check this out. It's a link to the RTA website with specific directions about how to get to Domilise's on the Magazine St #11 bus. They say you have to go pretty early though which could be your undoing as well as mine.

Who's the female singer in the 1st/3rd tracks?

Keystone, Berkeley, CA

- Set 1 -
Dancin' In The Moonlight
Lonely Avenue
Expressway (To Your Heart)
It's A Sin
The System (unknown tune, name made up)
Honey Chile

- Set 2 -
It Takes A Lot To Laugh, It Takes A Train To Cry

After they get thru trying to sing due to tech difficulties in the mics in Lonely Avenue, it is gold!

Sara Fulcher. Apparently a local singer. She does a nice job imo.

Had to pick this up for the "Dancin' In The Moonlight," still one of my favorite all time tunes. Never heard--or even heard of--Jerry doing that before. Definitely some technical difficulties and working through it for what may have been his first time; but definitely worth it once he catches on.

I'm loving everything about this Jerry and Merl show...except for the singer. Her voice is very up in her head, and these soulful tunes really call for a woman who can belt it out. Somebody like Rhetta Hughes, Barbara Lynn, or even Tammy Lynn would have been perfect for this show. Of course, back then it was doubtful that any of those ladies knew anything about Jerry and vice-versa.

Otherwise, this is a great show, and since the songs are all pretty long, the vocals don't detract too much.

Yeah, I gotta agree. When I posted above I had only listened to the "Dancin' in the Moonlight" and didn't realize that she sang on most of the tracks. Nice recording to have, and she's not bad as a backup singer, but there's a reason we've never heard of her.

I am still not sure if Lit was being sarcastic or not (I'm never sure with him, actually) but in complete sincerity, I love "Dancin' In The Moonlight" and I can remember hearing it on the radio when I was just a kid; Reminds me of summertime, and the freedom of childhood....

That said, until now, I had no idea that Garcia had ever covered it.

I still miss that guy's unique and timeless music, every single day....

Totally serious. I love the tune. King Harvest. I own it on vinyl, cassette and digitally. Many, many memories of playing it repeatedly at various times from high school through the present.

Led Zeppelin
1977-06-07
MSG
New York, New York

SBD
Silver CD > EAC > WAV > Trader's Little Helper > FLAC(level 8)
Bootleg Title: Magical Sound Boogie (3CD)
Label: Empress Valley

All the EV boards came out from one tech who worked for Showco in the 1970s. All that bullshit saying that Page didn’t allow the copying of tapes is nonsense because after the concert all these tapes were stored in one place and were managed by the Showco sound engineers. The LA June 23rd 1977 sbd fragment was received from Showco’s employee and thus it’s proving some ties with the company.

The next board will cover either West Coast 75 or NY/LA run of 77 tour. Between 1969 and 1973 all the baord tapes were recorded by a different crew and this is the reason why they are not surfacing elsewhere except Jimmy’s own studio. Showco started working for Led Zeppelin in 1973 regulary if my mind is wroking properly but it wasn’t until 1975 when Photombeam (a guy from RO who posted some info about his employing as LZ laser operator) had been hired that the soundboards were managed by Showco’s crew. The closest road crew entourage that toured with the band between 1968 and 1973 consisted of five or six persons that were in really close tie with all four members of Led Zeppelin, some of them, as Mick Hinton (Bonham’s drum tech) was very close friend of some of the band members and this is the only reason why these boards will be never released. Those leaked in early 1990s are stolen from Page’s possession and this is all that exists. The same with 1980 run - no Showco, no boards.

So, I do not want to say we can expect another board from LA stint very soon but it’s more likely we will be faced with something from 1975 or 1979 (or even 1971-73 if some of tapes stolen are still in the hands of hoarders).

Happy listening, folks!

Los Lobos are one of the truly great American touring bands around, and are always a great addition to Jazzfest.

I've been given and received some good tunes this holiday season, so I've begun to throw some stuff out that people haven't seen lately or forgotten about. This show was hailed as one of the best of Zeppelin's US tour in 1975, as the critics felt that everybody was really on point at this show. It is said that the soundboards from these shows were excellent, and less dry than some of the 1973 recordings, making this show a gem. Check out some of the track times as well. . 20 min. No Quarter and Moby Dick . . and a 35 min. Dazed and Confused. Enjoy PT!!!

Indictment Charges Megaupload Site With Piracy

McLEAN, Va. — Federal prosecutors in Virginia say they have shut down one of the world’s largest Internet file-sharing sites, Megaupload.com, and charged its founder and others with violating piracy laws.

An indictment accuses the company of costing copyright holders more than $500 million in lost revenue from pirated films and other content. The indictment was unsealed Thursday, one day after Web sites shut down in protest of two Congressional proposals intended to thwart the online piracy of copyrighted movies and TV programs.

Megaupload.com has claimed it is diligent in responding to complaints about pirated material.

The indictment says that at one point, Megaupload was the 13th most popular Web site in the world.

I wonder if sendspace is next? Are they different?
