So I am off next weekend to see Springsteen and the E Street Band in St. Paul, MN. I am pretty pumped. I have almost seen every tour since The Darkness Tour.
Now I know there was a huge amount of buzz with his performance with the Seeger Systems Band at Fest ... ...but I am wondering how many threadheads have seen the Springsteen w the E Street BAnd...and how well they liked it.
I personally feel sad that Springsteen made it in the the Rock and Roll Hall of fame...but from what I understand, the E street Band did not. Please...correct me if I am wrong?
Anyway...Threadheads..do you like them?

We caught their performance here in the Detroit area in November and it was a wonderful show. I love Bruce.

I can't count all the times I've seen them since The River tour. Bruce is best viewed with the E Street Band IMHO.

I caught them in Toronto late last year, and it was terrific! It ain't Springsteen circa '78, but hell, what is? :>) He looks like he's having a blast up there, and pound for pound, you're not going to find a better entertainer on the circuit - he's the boss, baby! Enjoy the show!

Two snippets of reviews of his 2006 Jazzfest show---
from Keith Spera:
No other artist could have spoken to, and for, the city of New Orleans at
this most important of Jazzfests more purposefully, more passionately and
more effectively than Bruce Springsteen and the Seeger Sessions Band.
from Randy Lewis of the Los Angeles Times:
Sometime, somewhere, a more dramatic and exhilarating confluence of music with moment may have existed than Bruce Springsteen's appearance tonight at the 37th annual Jazz & Heritage Festival here. But in nearly 40 years of concert-going, I haven't witnessed one.

I love that quote from the LA Times writer. He started off by saying that he's not a Springsteen fan...never was. Didn't like the early Bruce, or the middle Bruce or the late Bruce. But he then went on to state that the Jazzfest set was the best set of music he had ever seen in his entire career...

Seen him many times, including that amazing '06 Fest. Last saw him @ Giants stadium last summer, a friend of a friend got us into the "pit", damn near stage-front, too cool. He played as hard & kicked my butt as hard as he did when I 1st saw him 20 yrs. ago.
Bruce was the 1st act ever to play Fenway Park in '03...such a great time.
Sorry I'll miss him this tour, thankful to have seen him last tour.

Saw the show in Austin last Sunday and it was magnificent. 28 songs, three hours, basically non-stop. Bruce opened with "Badlands" ("Lights out tonight, trouble in the heartland... Indeed) and closed the first portion with the runaway American dream of "Born To Run". Framed and presented as it was, the show really made a statement about what it is to be American in these times, from the desperation of "Johnny 99" to the joy of "Sherry Darling". The new songs were great, as well, I just wish he had also done a couple of the more challenging ones like "Life Itself".
The encore segment opened with a full band gospel version of Steven Foster's "Hard Times Come 'Round Here No More", written in the 1850's and still relevent! A killer "Jungleland" followed, totally making my night. By the time Bruce yanked a "Glory Days" sign out of the crowd at a point when it looked like the show was over and proceeded to play it, the place was in complete pandemonium. It felt like he might come back out again after the house lights went up...it was that kind of night.
Bruce has had a stronghold in Austin since 1974, one of the first places the band played outside the East Coast, and he delivered the goods big time.
