The goal is $10k, and we are well over halfway there, but time is running out.
If you can, click in and donate whatever you can spare. Let's get these budding young musicians to the Fest so they can hear their heroes in person! Who knows what it will inspire them to do in the future.

There isn't any cut-off date, CP. Any $$ we have leftover will be seed money for next year/next clinic. For instance, although the raffle is partially to benefit F4K, we won't get that money in time to buy t-shirts, distribute tickets, etc to the kids.

Also, the foundation did not award us any Community Outreach tickets.
:( So, we have to pay full price for the adult chaparones tickets.

i just went and put my friends' money where our mouths are........
i dont think anybody will care that i split our donation and used some of it for this.
except the kids who get to go to the fest - they'll care in a good way.

Dj is really, really learning fast on the trumpet too. That kid's got charisma in a major way. I babysat him and Shamarr's son Jarrell for awhile on the night of Shamarr's cd release party and he never stopped cracking me up.... he's so sassy :)

Glad to see DJ learning yet another instrument. For any newbies who don't know, DJ's dad, Dinerral, may he rest in peace, is just one of the reasons silence is violence was formed. He was killed while driving down the road with his family by a kid that was aiming for Dinerral's stepson. :(
