This bored is churning so fast things go to page #3 within a day, so I thought I'd try again. Apparently, it seems like I'm actually looking for brunch/breakfast in Kenner. Does anyone know anything about Rick's Famous Cafe, or Chez Pierre Bakery? Both are near the Airport, and Rick's has one great review for breakfast on citysearch, Trip Advisor has them at #21 and #5 respectively. Could be just the ticket, but I'd hate to fly blind on such an important meal.

Thanks, STLB.
I couldn't get that menu to open but your linked worked fine. Seems like one of the reviews said breakfast 24/7, but if it's not I'm sure I could find something on that menu to get by! The car rental idea was a good one, too. Turns out I get a discount as a card carrying member of the UAW that brings one of Budget's little buggies right into range!

cool. it gives you a lot of options for your day of roaming Jeff Parish. if you dont like a restaurant, go find another. pick up some waters & adult beverages for the room, etc. i think you'll get a lot of bang for your one day car rental cost.
are you able to dump the car at budget in the city or do you have to make an airport trek on monday?

ps - i'm bummed that the Zephyrs will not be in town during the week. i did get to see them last summer when we went to Memphis (Redbirds).

dang. the location is too far from Zephyr Field, but its a bit far from where we are staying in Metairie. i was hoping to check it out, but i'm at the mercy of my friends cars this year. may not be able to talk them into the driving that far SW.

Yep, I can return the car downtown, Canal St. just lakeside of Rampart.

I knew if I kept pushing this I'd score! Papa, Dot's looks like a winner, too, and right near the ballpark if I'm reading the map right.
Thanks for the assist, everybody!

Hey FestNut, thanks for the tip. These guys must be on the ball, looks like they have several locations! The coupon deal seems to involve spending $20, which I'd be hard pressed to do on my own from the prices on the menu.
I'd invite the rest of the T-Head nation to join in, but I suspect I may be the only one that's in town and not going to the Fairgrounds! Course, if I'm wrong, give a holler and will have us a feast!
