Just witnessed one of the greatest shows of my concert-going career on Tuesday. I'm still flying high. They did a great mix of Blind Faith, Traffic, and Clapton tunes...Lots of great blues covers. Winwood did an amazing "Georgia on my Mind" solo on the B3. Man, this guy is still in top form, vocally and musically. I've worn through 2 copies of his last studio release from '03 About Time. His new one is coming out in April. If you get a chance to see Winwood live, do it. Unreal.
I attended Cream at MSG in 2005 and it PALED in comparison to this show. I've never seen Clapton have so much fun on stage, smiles all around. His playing was the best I've heard from him in years.
Hope this doesn't come across as gloating, I'm just still glowing from the experience.....Sometimes I feel like the most fortunate guy alive to be exposed to the great live music that I've caught in my 32 years of life.
NOW BRING ON THE FEST!!!

Wow, that sounds like it was phenomenol. How hard was it to get tix? And did you pay tons for them? I've found the tix in NYC hard to come by (in general). Glad you had such a great time! :)

Tickets were costly, but I got in on the presale to score 8th row floor seats. Alot of money but worth every penny. I drive a crappy car thats paid for, and spend lots of money on concert tickets. Priorities, you know :)
