YAY!! I love Susan! Hoping she'll do Chealsea Morning, one of my favorite songs and her version of it is better than even Joni! (Did I say that out loud??)

Most excellent to hear that S. Cowsill has been added to the JF this year!
As I'm coming in on the 28th, I won't see her at the fairgrounds, though. But maybe I'll have the chance to see her at another venue. :)
We can only hope.

Sometimes the artist lists it on their website. Sometimes people talk to them at the shows. Officially we won't know til the cubes come out.

I was wondering the same thing suddenly. Last time she played it was at the Gentilly stage so i'm guessing she'll do the same.

She does her "Covered in Vinyl" series there....
papa, If you want to see her in a small and intimate setting, go to the Crown and Anchor in da Point on 3/4

Ok, folks. I can't share in the excitement, 'cause I'm not familiar with her work.

Can someone please recommend a cd to help me check her out?

Please and thank you.

yah, i checked it out, and listened to some cuts off her albums...struck me as "country", which is just not my cup 'o tea...which is all well and good since diversity is key at the fest...after all, 90k of us cant ALL be at the acura stage at the same time...haha...

dont worry, i will be getting my swerve on over at the brass stage...boo-yah! :D

Thanks, Folks. I agree that she sounds a little country. I guess it'll come down to the FOMS trade-offs.

'Preciate the input.

I'd say here musical style is a bit of everything. She is best appreciated live. She does a wide range of songs. Her Covered In Vinyl shows at Carrolton Station are always fun shows.

LESTER almost every musician has a my space site, as does susan cowsill , so if you google the artist, most likley a my space site will come up, then up in the right hand corner is a player w/ 4 or 5 tunes from a album or various albums , if you minamize that site and reopen explore you can surf while listining, the songs will automaticly play thru

While I like her, I wasn't that blown away by her performance at Gentilly (the Southern Comfort/Heritage/Sprint/Lucky Dog/K & B/Mr. Bingle/Morgus/Road Gang/King Edward Cigar Stage). Maybe she belongs in a more intimate setting.

Susan and her husband were the Bonoffs along with Chris Knotts and Rhonda & Janson Lohlmeyer (I think).

Janson from the Bonoffs is the son of Rhonda Lohmeyer ,the other woman in the original band, who used to sing with Evangaline.

A familiar name! I admit to having been a huge fan of Evangeline.
