i have noticed in the genral music discussion fourm that there are sevral post regarding viagra , iphones and online gambling, so the question is "can these and should these threads and /or post be removed . thank you

Bob - I go into those messages and click on the red triangle at the top right hand corner - usually located next to the post # on the thread. It takes you to a new screen that lets you report spam - or as I usually send in the message

"spam, spam, spamalamadingdong" and then the post usually magically disappears within a minute or two of my using that method.....

gotta agree - it's annoying - the question is - do they then remove the userid - and, if it is a consistent thing - like seems to be developing lately - is it from the same IP address and can they - do they want to? - block it? (although, I hate to think of things becoming that complicated or sensor oriented - but sometimes that's not the end of the world.....sometimes....)

This is a complicated attack happening across the internet. Fortunately the bots that are doing this seem only know how to use the last forum in a list.

The bots are very busy. A few months ago I was getting about 500 spams a day on my Barracuda boxes. Last check there were almost 200 per hour. 4500 in the last day on one box. The Internet is not dying, but it is sick right now...
