Not fest related, but it made me feel good. Maybe some of you have read the story of the Marines in Iraq, (some I believe who were based in LA.) who on one of their routine patrols to interact with the locals came upon a 2 year old girl who was ill with a serious heart defect, and took it upon themselves to help her.
