Hello,
I am sick and tired of Ticketmaster's crazy fees! Wondering, since they've gotten rid of the advance mail order for tickets, if my only option for advance purchase without extra fees is to purchase them on-site.
I will arrive New Orleans on the afternoon of April 30, the last day to purchase tickets in advance. Does anyone know what time I can purchase tickets until on that day at the advance price? And... Where I can purchase tickets on that day?

Advance tix for 2nd weekend are available in N.O. until Apr 30 at the New Orleans Arena box office. I believe the box office closes daily at 4:30. The fee there is per ticket $2 for cash purchases, $3.20 for credit.
Also, last year, the box office stayed open later (7pm) on the day before each weekend. But no word on whether that will repeat; last year they didnt announce that until the week before.

Check craigslist as well. I saw alot of tickets posted by people who bought them and then had extras or changed weekends they were going to go. Some were listed at or below original cost.

ah, so no buying at the superdome on the 30th? figured i would just pick them up on that day and save a few bucks as well.

this was a MAJOR problem for a friend of mine last year - as the tickets she bought were counterfeit.....just sayin'......

Yes, you can get the cheap tix at the arena (not the dome) on the 30th, until whenever the box office closes that day, at least 4:30p.
If you buy when the box office opens on May 1, you'll pay the gate price.
