Yes, Happy Valentines Day to you all and especially to our youngest member, NolaNatalie! Happy first Valentines Day, you beautiful baby girl!
I'm going to spend my day with my beautiful granddaughter, my oldest daughter and I'm taking Dozer and my in-laws along, too, then coming home to cook a nice dinner for PapaRoux. Spending time with some of the most important people in my life, that's the best way to celebrate :D

This day should not be the only time we show the ones we LOVE how much we care. Hallmark makes a killing while the lonely people sit and cry and think they suck.

I feel ya, Swag. For many years, the two days I couldn't abide were VD and NYE. It's gotten better for me, especially since I got married, but it hasn't completely gone away. I don't know if it's melancholy or the vapid contrived emotion, but I hear you.

Swagolicious - there is hope yet....... there is a whole group of people who dislike this hallmark holiday that makes a whole bunch of people feel bad - and we don't go out and celebrate anything special etc.
So - having said all of that - happy valentines day - and if it's any consolation - I'm sure one cat has peed on our carpet and the other probably threw up on the back of the couch again ......

For the two of us, Valentine's Day is an excuse to eat (as is most occasions). We had a yummy dinner of crawfish beignets, from a recipe in the Threadhead cookbook (thanks, Ibjamn!) and chocolate bread pudding for dessert. (Then we checked in a t-shirt order. How romantic)

Happy Valentine's Day folks ! I spent 2 hours on the phone with mom about PC problems, she couldn't get emails from her boytoy in Texas. Got that worked out, TG. No calls from the xgfs, that's OK too. Smoochies to all you singular female threadheads, and even some of you married ones too. Love Y'all, and spread that around :)
