Haven't seen this posted yet and will be in town next weekend. I'd like to know if any of ya'll plan on catching the show.

Fats Domino 80th Birthday Celebration featuring Randy Newman, Dr. John, Allen Toussaint, and Clarence "Frogman" Henry / featuring the Celebration House Band with Jon Cleary, Walter "Wolfman" Washington, Shannon Powell, Richard Moten, Roger Lewis, James Rivers, and Eric Traub, and a special appearance by Fats Domino

Saturday, Feb 23, 2008 9:00 PM CST (8:00 PM Doors)
at Tipitina's (Uptown)

All proceeds to benefit the Tipitina's Foundation.

At $75 per ticket, I have to consider whether it's worth it or just go catch:
a) Soul Rebels (Balcony Club)
b) Pine Leaf Boys (dba)
c) Astral Project (Snug Harbor)
d) Twangorama (Carrolton Station)

I haven't seen any of the above ever before but have seen Dr. John (multiple times), Frogman and Wolfman (at JazzFest).

Somebody make up my mind, please!

Go to Fats 80th. Where you gonna beat that lineup? I see you haven't seen Mr. Toussaint. You must see him. He is required viewing. If Fats actually plays...well my god man what are you waiting for?

I think you gotta go to Tips, great line up, the big man just might stop by, and the $$ goes to a good cause. And hell, Tips just might be the greatest bar on earth.

I've seen harp jams, guitar jams, drum jams and trombone jams.
This has the possibility of a piano jam. Tix just bought. Ya'll got me worked up now.
