One of my favorite afternoons was spent slurping em down, having some beer, and just chatting with the shucker and whoever happened to sit next to me.

Although callin' your friends (who bailed on the fest) as you "sit" wavin' at them on the oyster cam is hard to beat......
never met an erster I didn't like!

These days, Pat's easier to get into...although Acme's take on Charbroiled oysters can go the distance all by itself

Had to go with Pat O's; too many good memories and pictures.
A couple of lead changes already. I think this matchup will come down to the wire.

Hmmm, I don't know. Anyone have ideas for a good format for overtime, or maybe a shootout?

May be a moot point as this one isn't tied anymore. I thought there were a few more ties last night though . . . When does voting end?

I had originally said 8pm tonite for 1A, but I may let it go until the polls lock tomorrow afternoon (time show at the top of each thread).

Forget when you oringally posted the polls -- today is a holiday for lots so if you only have a computer at work you might not know about it yet . . .

Amy's point about a holiday is a good one...Also do you think it would be good to advertise this tournament in the "main" forum via another thread...I think it is the primary stop for a lot of posters. I didn't see it for about a day myself. It's a lot of fun and I doubt that those of us who are already in would mind the redundancy.
Ok, I will extend thru Tuesday afternoon.
Feel free to post about the brackets on the Main, if you like.

Nice!
Was it awkward the next day, when she sobered up and realized she'd said yes?

I'm assuming these poll closing times are Central. That means there's less than three hours to show support for your friend, the mighty oyster. Granted, the oyster's opposition, Pat O's, is a fine institution and we've all had our share of good times there. But those hurricanes will turn on you without warning. They extract their revenge by making your head swim and stomach wretch. Not so the oyster. Oysters are an excellent source of vitamins A, B1, B2. B3, C and D. Four or five medium size oysters supply the recommended daily allowance of iron, copper, iodine, magnesium, calcium, zinc, manganese and phosphorus. They are great by themselves, or dipped in a hearty sauce of ketchup, horseradish, Lea & Perrins and Tabasco. Dear friends, in my humble opinion, you have only one sensible choice. Vote Acme Oyster House!

What's the poll closing time? We just need one more vote for a tie!! C'mon Pat O's! There are lots of nutrients in hurricanes too, I'm sure of it.
