Tangled had a little BBQ get together at her new NOLA home this afternoon. It was a perfectly beautiful day; 70 degrees, bright sun & the food, wine, company & jello shots were spectaclular!!

Yes, it does. And it does my heart good seeing others enjoying some good company and beautiful weather.

But, OTOH, today was a perfect day to take apart my keyboard & vacuum it & clean all the keys! :D I'm just glad we were able to get our new furnace installed last week when it was in the 60s.

OK Jazzy.....Scout is a dog that just showed up behind my fence at the BBQ yesterday. He was adorable and the girls fed him so much food. Jenn gave him one of my gourmet burgers!!! LOL

Jenn named him Scout because she said he spoke to her and told her that was going to be his new name. He is a new threadhead!

What a trip yesterday was....more seahorses.

The director told me that it is a reflection of their share of the dog population here. They're great big babies - I just love 'em.

The banter that was going on was hilarious. Some crazy personalities mixed together!

OMG I am giggling crazy reading this!
1) Scout was more retriever looking and just appeared at the fence from the next backyard. He was a sweetie and there was lots of bushes and stuff right there on the other side that he came busting through. What a doll!
2) Papafrog we missed you and asked where you were!
3) The jello shots were yummy and my favorite was when Frank made himself a plate that had a hot dog and some salad and a jello shot. It was a riot....like a food group in itself!
4) Jolie's friend was a trip. Of course they weren't there 10 minutes before he asked how she knew all of us and she had to explain her internet friends. Soon he was trying to come up with his own screen name and even answered to it later. Of course Jimmy (mr. amyloves) pipes in saying "But they're all a bunch of freaks!!" (which he says with lots of love).
5) Scoopy we got a good chuckle when Jenn said you were worried about Blue cause she hadn't commented yet about the cracklin. Rosey told us about his happy dance.
6) Jenn wore her favorite bead (pulled from Katy's tree decorated festively by ZKitty) with the seahorse....which is the only style of bead thrown at this one parade and which Jenn had many many of. Apparently Jenn was shouting obnoxious things at this parade after her "may or may not" drinks.
7) I got no clue about the barrel of vikings!
8) Katy....it's pronounced more like "Muuuunnkauggggghhhhhhh"....as in "Aw, little muuuuuuunnnnnnkauuuuugh"
9) What a fantastic day....the only thing missing was some green bean casserole. :D

I really love livng in the Bywater! Great neighborhood, community, people - there's Elizabeth's, Bywater BBQ, Jack Dempsey's, The Joint, The Country Club, Markey's, Bud Rip's, a great library branch, a great farmers' market, the Bywater Art Market in Markey Park, Inferno Glass Studio . . .

It's on higher ground and had less flooding, it's great for bike-riding, close to Frenchmen St. . . . plentiful free parking . . . what's not to like?

That's a great time to be looking - school's out and lots of places are available. Make sure to check with a local yokel about what neighborhood you'll be in - it's pretty "checkerboard" both Uptown and Mid-City.;)

Tangled had a little BBQ get together at her new NOLA home this afternoon. It was a perfectly beautiful day; 70 degrees, bright sun & the food, wine, company & jello shots were spectaclular!!
