I'd LOVE this concert! I have some pics I took of the Animals in 1966, wonder if I could dig them up for an autograph......

YYR, TY steeleye. I guess this must include Lonnie Jordan. Very interesting.
We can keep hopes up :)

Have seen Eric Burdon several times over the last ten years including last year at BB Kings in nyc. It's always a treat for this soul who's intentions are good. He can still sing and always has a solid band whether or not War is there.

Just want to add that we saw Eric with several NO acts at Waterfront Blues Fest in Portland, OR, this summer. He intro'd "House Of The Rising Sun" by reminding all that it was a New Orleans number while his keyboard player laid down one of the funky-est "Tipitina"'s I've ever heard. There are always serioius musicians with the lil' guy, though they tend to do the loung-act cruise-control for about two-thirds of his set these days. I guess he knows his crowd....

Yes, it's Lonnie Jordan. There has been a rancourous and litigious split between Lonnie and the other foundinig members of WAR, who now go by the name of The Original Low Riders. I sure would like to pretend it's 1970 again and "Spill the Wine."

That is exactly correct. I've seen Lonnie's WAR and I've seen The Original Lowriders (last year during Fest at Ray's on the daze between). There is no comparison...Lonni's is a lounge act. Lowriders is the REAL DEAL. I hope Eric makes the righteous decision, but I guess he prolly won't...
