So, I guess if you're in one of the parades, you don't get to see the parade?

LMAO, though I'm not sure why exactly. I guess it's that in NO, 24 hours can be an eternity and yesterday at the same time.

No, I didn't. I know this sounds almost sacreligious, but I don't really like Zulu and Rex. Maybe it's because by Fat Tuesday, I've seen at least 10 parades, or because the crowds are too much. But I've found I have a much better day if I head for the Quarter (limiting my time on Bourbon St) and the Marigny. The St Ann's parade and all the costumes are just more fun!

That's funny to hear you say that - I was having the same feeling on Tuesday, even though I went to both parades. I found myself wishing I was in the Quarter, because I was waaay paraded out.

Thanks for the great photos of St. Ann's! It was my first time marching with them and a great way to begin the day . . . I did enjoy Zulu and Rex too, but can understand why some might be burnt out by then on p'rades ;) :D

Well, thanks just the same. It really help us geographically challenged folks enjoy the day!
