I just received an email regading this exceptional hotel deal in NOLA, valid until Feb 8th:

Stay in the heart of New Orleans for just US$59 a night -- including weekends! BookIt.com is now offering this special at the historic AAA 3-Diamond Queen & Crescent Hotel for stays through Feb. 8. That's as much as half-off the regular rates!

And that's not all -- with this special only, BookIt.com is also offering FREE breakfast and FREE valet parking (valued at US$30 per day) for the duration of your stay. Select dates from Feb. 11 to March 31 are also available for just US$79 per night, but they do not include the free breakfast or parking.

The hotel is centrally located in the Big Easy, just 2 blocks from the French Quarter, 3 blocks from Bourbon Street and 4 blocks from Harrah's Casino and the riverfront.

Blackout Dates: Jan. 12, 13

For more information or to book:
Call 1-888-782-9722 or click here to book directly with BookIt.com.
Book by Jan. 17.
NOTE: Prices listed on the phone and online will be in US dollars.

Hey Ross,

It sounds like that deal is only good for stays through 3/31, unless I'm reading it wrong.

I think $59 only goes through Feb 8 and "select dates" through March 31 are $79 (I'm guessing Mardi Gras time is excluded from those select dates). Great deal if you're going sometime before fest though!

Yeah, you rite Amy! I just figured I would post it in case anyone was planning on heading down there soon. The $59 deal including breakfast and valet parking is pretty outrageous, no?

I found a $119 rate (including breakfast, though I wasn't awake that early) at the Rennaissance Arts, and I had a 2nd night free coupon, so I paid about the same for my 2 nights.

Swag - let me know if you stay at the Renassiance Arts hotel again - my boyfriend is a bartender at La Cote - its not a bad place to catch a drink or too......

Thanks, MG. As it turns out, this past weekend, finding a place to drink was not the problem. Just the opposite, in fact.

yes, somehow here in NOLa, although with Katrina we have all kinds of problems, finding a drink is never one of them. Which i personallly, don't think is a bad thing.....

There was no place not to drink.

I drank on the plane down, at Acme, Lafittes, Bourbon Pub, Oz, Jacques Imos, Harrah's, the Chart Room, NOLA, Ryans Irish Pub, HOB, Pat O'Briens, the Fairgrounds, and on the plane home.

But I skipped the monsoon and had iced tea at Port O Call.

Is that a cocktail? Or is that what you start seeing after the 2nd monsoon?

Just booked hotels for French Quarter Fest, and I'll be back at the Ren Arts Sat & Sun nights.

Did I mention I'm doing my first FQF? :D
