I'll be seeing NOrth Mississippi in Little Rock here before long. Do yall get Alvin Youngblood Hart opening? Saw both bands at Kenny Brown's picnic last summer. It's a school night but what the hey. Love my Mississippi boys.

And Maceo! oooh. Looooove Maceo. Was lucky enough to see him only once -- about 3 years back in Fort Smith, Arkansas at their little blues fest. Elephant sat on my foot!

Yall have big fun.

I'll bet good money that Sha is taller than you, Belle. ACtually I know she is so that wouldn't really be a fair bet. Yall have big fun. :)

Yes she is! Too funny. Always thought Sha was a lady but wasn't sure so when we were leaving, I noticed a tall lady, went up and asked...we found each other.:D

The show was amazing. The boys never disappoint but myoh my this show rocked for two and half hours. Big, loud sounds and amazing musicianship. If they are coming on this tour near you...don't miss it!

This band has a special place in my heart. I wanted to like them when they first appeared on the scene but didn't. I kept buying their cds to support MS musicians. I mean their dad is Jim Dickinson. But it wasn't until their third album, Polaris, that I got it! Then a couple years later, they brought my Rising Star drum and fife boys on tour and that was pure heaven!

Sha will prolly give a better review as she has a nack for that but I tell you it was wonderful seeing so many college age kids digging these guys. Last time I saw them (opened for Hiatt and backed him) the crowd was older but this time the house was full of youngins to oldins. What a great show. If they don't get you moving you just aren't gonna move no matter.

Luther is one of the top guitarists out there period. Sliding, picking or do his own style. Hear he is going on tour the the Black Crowes with a new CD out in March with them. Cody (drummer) did a real number on my head with synthesizer washboard that took me back to the Dead days and space. Wacky!

Oh, gawd, that's when my friend juana loves the AS. When Cody gets on that electric washboard!

It's all kinda weird for me, as I remember them as little kids out playing traditional blues. They played a lot with and without their dad. Glad to see them doing so well.
