The originals print great at post card size. I'm planning to mail a few from the fest to friends with the Jazz Fest postmark.

And the picture is a personal favorite as I took it some time ago (2001) with an "early" 1999 era 2 Megapixel camera. Must have taken me about ten shots, each time holding my breath, to get that shot . It was around 10 PM and the fact that I could even get a good shot at night with no flash was one of the facts that sold me on digital photography back during the early days of the millennium.

Here's another shot taken there just two days ago...this time the camera did all the work.

Got a lot of nice shots that day of Preservation Hall, mainly because it was opened during the afternoon for French Quarter Fest and this is the only time that I've been there where the band was lit with daylight. I had to use a lower ISO setting that increased the graininess...but consider that intentional.

Yes working a little, playing a lot. We really need a break from the norm and it's a great opportunity to homeschool. We're researching the family tree, new orleans life in the 1800's, music and voodoo. :)

There is a kat gathering at Gordon Biersch brewery around 3:30 or 4pm, then on to Marcia Ball at Lafayette Park which starts around 5pm. Hope to see you! The brewery has validated parking, and it's a short walk to the park. And I'm guessing it's pretty kid friendly.
