Nice to read more about how Aaron's been doing. I didn't know the Nevilles had agreed to play fest last year, before Joel's death forced them to cancel. Maybe the "healing power of music" will gift Aaron, along with the rest of us, on May 4.

I would buy that CD, and probably will! When I hear that the Nevilles were booked for Fest 2007 and had to cancel, I am glad I did not say anything negative about their absence. Who am I to know what Aaron and the brothers are going through. As my mother used to say "don't judge someone until you've walked a mile in their moccasins" -- I'll be drowning out any boos at the Acura stage on May 4.

"Main Entry: al·bum
1 a: a book with blank pages used for making a collection (as of autographs, stamps, or photographs) b: a cardboard container for a phonograph record : jacket c: one or more recordings (as on tape or disc) produced as a single unit --a 2-CD album

So, after further review, the initial ruling stands: Album, it is. And now I will get back to my pre-game festivities before the Gents and Packers clash on the Frozen Tundra of Lambeau Field...

I will be at the Nevs and supporting my fave NOLA music family with friends who are traveling to JFEST for the first time and once again trying to be at the RADS too :)
On the subject of album or CD I have believed that both where correct and record was the out dated word but there is something about the way certain old school musicians say "record" that I look forward to this new "record".

I didn't know that they were booked for '07. Man, that would have been some triumphant return....
I don't fault Aaron for things that happened, he has been through a lot. I still find it hard to get past some of the things that Cyril said. But, I do believe in New Orleans' First Family of Funk and welcome their return to the Fest this year.

Yeah, I really can't imagine that there will a very big group out there, having decided to ignore all the great music going on the other 11 stages, (Radiators? Jazz Tent Jam?) who stay for the last show just to boo at the Nevilles. Very unlike the Jazz Fest Vibe, so I don't believe it will happen.
