Yeah, I am revvving up for the Fest. From here until 4/23 I'm listenin', I'm *dancing and I'm singing my music, traditional dixieland jazz as well as all that other great stuff.

* Any Lindy Hop lovers out there?

Just got a new radio for my new car, a 1980 Toyota Tercel, and picking up a new speaker for it tomorrow.
I even go to sleep sometimes listening to Fats and Satchmo.
Between sets at the gym, I'm makin' my moves and groovin' on, when they play our kind of music.

Taking my great big beautiful multi colored second line umbrella out of the shed and bringing it in the house and breakin out my beads. I start wearing them every day starting 3/23 up to and including the day of my flight.

I'm ready. Flight booked, 3 star hotel in FR.QTR paid for at rate of $39 per night ( thank you Swag, u r the man). and dog sitter booked.

Let the preparations begin.

Feelin' your good vibes, Terry. Another lindy music/dance lover here - as well as swing (east and west coast) and zydeco. Save me a dance at the Economy Hall dance floor! (Don't know if you're male or female, but I can lead or follow.) :-)

Look, when I sold that car the radio was just fine! And if you find my missing Willie Humphrey & Sing Miller cd behind the seats somewhere, just enjoy it, okay?

You sound like me.

Yeh I am a Lindy lover. Come from a dancing family that was also into Dixieland. Spent hours on the San Antonio River Walk at the Landing!! Wonder if that place is still there dishing out some great music?

It is getting really exciting. We will have the line up soon!

Oooh, Belle, I love the Landing! I was there a few months ago and Jim Cullum's band was sounding great. I already checked their schedule late April/early May and they're playing in their home.

Guess I was all of 10 when my dad started taking me there. Felt so cool to be with the old folks, watching them get a buzz on and falling in love with the music. Glad to hear it is still there and putting out the music.

One trip I would love to do with the kids is to take them back home to Texas and visit for about a month. Miss it still.

Your on. Terry is short for Terrence. I was hoping another Lindy lover would reply. I grew up doing it in NY, so East Coast is my style.
Terry.
P.S.

What weekend are you going or are you doing both? I am doing first weekend this year.
