Bren brought me a bag of "starter" and instructions. I "mushed" the bag for a few days, then added some stuff, made 4 more starter bags, 3 to give away and baked the rest. Really yummy, kind of banana bread consistency, not too sweet, perfect with coffee. :)

No one knows who started the first "starter". It's kinda like a food chain letter, but you don't suffer if you break the chain. If you don't keep a starter for yourself, you have to wait until someone gives you a new "starter" bag.;)

I'm good ! Things have been insane. Had ever intention of making it to the West Bank when we were in for Christmas/New Year's - but couldn't keep a schedule to save my life.....and had a whole lot of fun anyway.

Good progress all around with the family stuff and vistin' with everyone from near and far. Came home and hit the ground running - exhausted and slept all last weekend....finally :)

AI has gotten so big, that they are trying to guarentee that the winner will not be an "uknown" to the record industry. They might be unknown to us, but quite afew have had recording contracts and are known to the AI producers and staff.
Now I don't believe in the Easter Bunny or the Tooth Fairy (I leave Santa's options open;) ), but if this is supposed to be a competition of unknowns, then they should be unknown to the record industry! JMHO...

Ironically this is the 2nd time I've seen it on TV today. This morning on the local news they did a feature on Super Bowl parties and Silly String was a suggestion as a 'must have' for a party. I have no idea why.

You need to come down here for Mardi Gras, they sell alot of Silly String off the carts that roam the routes.

There is also a group sending Silly String to the troops in Iraq. They use it to set off mines without getting close.

That girl really was amazing, there aren't many people who could have spoken let alone sing, two days after their father died.
