This really hurts.

Just another layer of pain for those recovering their lives in the region.

Strong Stuff. Sad Stuff. On the positive side, however, the city is really cracking down on the cops! Perhaps after they put all of those nasty law enforcement officers away for a few years they will have enought spare time upon their hands to ask these young folks and future community leaders what it is that the city can give to them in order to pacify their inner hostilities and somehow make up for the harm society has foisted upon them.

All those many "soulless" children in a city where we collectively go to enrich our souls.... shiiiiit.........

Again,.. impoverished conditions are no excuse for any one individual to steal the life of another*,.. but when the numbers of kids raised in terrible to worse conditions are so damn high (numbers that existed far before the storm),.. then all manner of stinkin' crap is bound to hit the fan when conditions take a turn for the worse....

As if poverty ain't bad enough,.. I have never been able to understand how the people who make big money off of sellin' music (something that unites us all in a positive way),.. can sell out children,.. and their own culture,.. with that frickin' gangsta crap... especially in a city that should,.. more than any other,.. have a better understanding of the good that music can deliver...

*As for money,.. the rich steal that from us ever damn day,.. so why should the poor feel compelled to do any different.... I just realized yesterday that the Sugar Bowl,.. played in New Orleans,.. is now proudly tooting the horn of Allstate Insurance... If that ain't a major crime I don't know what is.... At the very least,.. it's a level of hypocrisy that is beyond comprehension...
