Was breezing around some websites yesterday and came across this interview with Jon Cleary on a UK online radio show called Mule Skinner Blues.....Jon delivers a fine tutorial and background on New Orleans piano styles. Wish I had practised more all those years ago when Mom wanted me to learn to play! :D

My specialty was a little ditty called "the Happy Farmer". My sister Rhonda and I snagged first place at the Birdtail River fine Arts Festival with that one! Heart and Soul is for hacks... :>)

Well, imagine that! I played it too at the Virden Music Festival. I think every piano teacher in the world teaches tykes to play that....bet Cleary skipped that and went right on to Tipitina!
