with the service fees and handling charges using ticket master,is there any disadvantage to waiting and getting tickets at the super bowl a few days before the jazzfest starts?

You mean the super dome.

Dome tix in advance in April will be $40+2 (cash), higher fees for credit. Ticketmaster is currently $35+$6.90+($4/order). So pretty much the same, for now. TM may be a bit more convenient.

The TM price goes up to $40+ after Jan $22. No official word on gate prices this year, but my guess is $50.
