I admit that I lost faith last night in my Villanova Wildcats (my alma mater) when LSU had them down 19 with 10 minutes to go in the second half. I turned off the game and watched CSI that I had recorded on DVR. When I woke up this morning and found out that NOVA won the game, I was in total disbelief. I could kick myself for turning it off. Guess I should have remembered the Cinderella team of 1985 when I was in school and they won the national championship.

My sincere condolences to LSU and their fans. I do not know how they lost that game.

Reminds me of a game my terps played against Carolina in the late 90's ... we were down 20-ish to UNC with about 10 minutes to play ... and the whole game Dukie V was like "Im tellin ya baby, this NC team is just to much for this terps team ... theyre awesome baby, turn out the lights" .... Fast Forward now ... Maryland ends up winning by 10, and the whole time theyre coming back, Vitale is saying "I told you this Maryland team wouldnt give up ... theyre gritty baby, they have resolve"

OK ... this has NOTHING to do with JF whatsoever, but any fan of college hoops that has heard Dick Vitale broadcast a game should get a chuckle out of that

The killer is after that great comeback, they were 1 pt. down with 7 seconds left when the guard drove right and got swamped. He threw up a terrible shot that ended up coming off the glass clean on the other side of the basket where an open teammate got the put back to go up by one. Then LSU did what every team seems to do now to lose at the end. They refused to throw a pass and wasted time dribbling up court to take a lousy 30 footer at the buzzer. 'Nova won on tons of hustle.
