Mrs AtP is an Elvis groupie, and she's telling me about these lightbulbs. Could she be hinting about Christmas? I'm just laughing. Years ago, in a fraternity up in the frozen nawth, we had an annual Egg Sale fundraiser. We'd to to a door, say we were from the local college and holding a fundraiser, and could the household kindly donate one egg?? Then, assuming we got one, we'd go to the next house, say we were from the local college and holding a fundraiser, and how much would the household kindly pay us for one egg? All day. It was fun.

I think Elvis has one-upped us.

Give a really unique gift this holiday season and support Elvis's tradition of generosity. Purchase an authentic blue Christmas light from the driveway at Graceland and $5.00 of the purchase price will be donated to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

During his lifetime, Elvis would decorate the winding Graceland driveway with hundreds of blue lights. The staff at Graceland continues Elvis’s tradition each year by lining the driveway with hundreds of blue lights. Own a little piece of Christmas at Graceland by purchasing a blue light bulb that at one time, lit the driveway at Graceland during the holidays. Each light comes packaged in a small blue box and a letter of authenticity from Graceland. (Please note that these light bulbs are no longer working.)

What could we put on eBay for a charity? Chair that sat in the middle of Acura stage for Big Name Act? Empty bottle from Ms. Lena? Maybe, used brass passes? Oh well.

I'll have a blue Christmas...Decorations of red on a green christmas tree. Happy holidaze.
THAT is an awesome idea, atponchartrain. We can ebay some items in the name of the raffle. A couple years ago I bit when a dude "let" you buy him a beer at the fairgrounds at fest. Got a thank you and promise of a lagniappe. An empty beer bottle signed by Ms. Lena, a couple other diamond cutters and cbh would be way cool. :D

I'd be more likely to buy one if $35 went to St. Jude, rather than $5, for a non-working lightbulb. That's a lot of profit, even from the Elvis freaks.
