Holiday Greetings from New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity!

Thank you for your continued support of our organization! We are grateful to volunteers like you who have donated their time over the years. This spring, we expect to have our largest number of volunteers yet. Thousands of university students from across the country are dedicating their spring vacations to rebuilding our great city and we want to give them a great New Orleans welcome.

All of these students will be staying at our Camp Hope in St. Bernard Parish. In preparation, Camp Hope is undergoing renovation. During the month of December, we would like to invite you to join us in this project. The day will begin at 9:00am and tasks will range from floating sheet rock to arranging bedroom areas.

We are always looking for volunteers to participate in our builds in Orleans, Jefferson and St. Bernard Parishes.

I am very proud of the staff here at my company...we're sending three teams of 5-6 people each in April, June and October of 2008...all volunteering for NOLA Habitat for Humanity home building efforts.

The college where I teach also sends a team of faculty/staff/students down each year.

That is great to see all the volunteer efforts still going into the area. It shows that many people still care a lot about the recovery.

I worked with Habitat last December here for my birthday and had the pleasure of working with lots of great college students and some older business folks . . . if you have the opportunity, I highly recommend it!
