Watched the game last night. Good thing LSU's defense was on the ball. Their offense seemed unable to do the job themselves. A win is a win and it was a big one for sure. :D They wanted it more. Glad the hoopla with the Coach has settled down a bit.
I stayed up for the Hawaii game last night. A good contest, but it ended at 2:20 am CST. That's 3:20 am in the east. I can't imagine many east coast voters saw the end of it...

What a crazy year! I couldn't believe WVU lost last night. I'm glad they went with LSU in a game so close to home. Plus, they earned it as much as anybody. You do gotta like Hawaii and that wide open offense. It's going to see how they hold up in a big bowl game...

Is there a homefield advantage for the Championship game? Or is the whole BCS thing very corporate like the Super Bowl with the tickets going to sponsors and big-wigs????
The tickets will start with the sponsors, but once they filter thru the secondary market (read: scalpers), I'd expect a very lopsided crowd.

So glad to see the Tigers in the Championship game! Anybody but those Hokies! (Sorry.....Tech fans). Sure wish I could wave a magic wand and end up in NOLA on January 7th. There will be a party fo' sho!

Yes, there is such a thing as a homefield advatage. When you start seeing the game for the national title played at Lambeau Field, you'll stop seeing these pretty boy teams winning national titles. The last time the Big Ten had a home game for a bowl was??????????????

Now that would be something. Hold all the bowl games in alternate years in some cold weather venues. Some nice snow coming down during a 35 mile an hour wind or some of that freezing rain that comes down so hard and fast that it hurts. You could have the prestone anti-freeze bowl or the diehard battery bowl brought to you by Sears.

I remember the Saints complaining about the weather for the Bears game last year in the Playoffs. I'm not sure what they were talking about since the temps were mild, near 30 degrees. I'd love to see USC vs. Michigan played in Green Bay when it's 5 degrees out.

Bowl games in cold places in January -- do you think they'd get as much for tickets? I doubt you can get your hands on a tix for the Nat'l Championship game for less than $500 . . .

As of November 3, 2007:
LAMBEAU FIELD SELLOUT STREAK HITS 250
-Sunday marks the 250th consecutive regular-season sellout (264 including playoffs) at Lambeau Field, the league's longest-tenured stadium.
-The sellout streak first began in 1960, also the same year season tickets were first sold out. With season-ticket holders from all 50 states, as well as Washington, D.C., Canada, Japan and Australia, the team's waiting list now has more than 74,000 names. People who were recently awarded season tickets put their names on the waiting list in the mid 1970s.
Soldier's Field is around 190 consecutive sell outs.
Not to mention it puts you in the heart of Michigan, Ohio State, Notre Dame, and Wisconsin, four of the most die hard groups of fans in the nation. Fans from those teams will fill ANY stadium in the country if their team is playing.
What about Cleveland? The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Bowl !!!...I'm just saying.
Or Heyward WI- The Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame Bowl....

Buffalo's stadium is only an hour or so away, they won't be using it January, we could move a game or two there.
(Here's how it is out my front door right now....the best it's looked for two days. )

Geez, bro. Is it my monitor, or is that snow really pee yellow?
Well, I say Heyward, Lincoln and Lambeau, go for a bowl. Hell, we got one here and it's on TV. We have two 6-6 teams, Alabama and Colorado will be a great game. It will fill the stadium and hotel rooms and casinos.
You must watch or attend the Independence Bowl, or you're pink commnist scum. That's Shreveport...
And another point on the bowl. If they do a B-52 flyover, pee before it happens. A-10 flyovers are cool, but no big deal. The B-2 was really creepy, barely seen and not heard at all.
And wow, an outstanding Sugar Bowl, IMO. Hawaii and Georgia. Good for the city, I think.
As for LSU. Glad to see them in the champ game. Looks ike another '03 controversy though. TFB. I told folks today that I could argue LSU #2 or LSU #12.
GEAUX TIGERS !!!
