Anybody know anything about this? I stumbled upon this fooling around on TM thinking about VH tix this morning (PT Barnum was right!). This is the first I have seen about this show, here is the link to the listing:

:eek:damn...nope...I know nothing except I booked my flight for the weekend before!!!
Soemthing is weird. TM shows "Sat, Jan 19, 2008 07:00 PM ", with "Onsale to General Public: Wed, 12/05/07 10:00 AM CST".
But the New Orleans Arena website lists "Disney On Ice presents Princess Wishes" shows January 19 at 11:30am, 3:30pm, & 7:30pm .
Does the arena have more than one venue? Or will the little princesses be skating to the sounds of Walter Wolfman?

Can't imagine what that would be. The only music events ever held there is large concerts, recently Tool. Someone like Clapton or a BNA maybe, or just a mistake.

www.bluesfestivalguide.com isn't showing anything, but that doesn't necessarily mean it won't happen...
This is almost certainly the winter arena tour being done by several chitlin' circuit acts. The exact bill varies from city to city but usually includes Bobby Blue Bland, Sir Charles Jones, Marvin Sease, Shirley Brown, Latimore and Mel Waiters. Sometimes Bobby Rush or Clarence Carter is on it. In each city it plays it becomes the "Baltimore Blues Fest" or the "Cleveland Blues Fest" etc.
bobby bland's tour schedule doesn't list this date, but it has several others:

YYR, Noah. There has been no promotion of this event that I have seen in print or internet until I got my weekly TM message today. Tickets went on sale Wednesday morning and there are still tickets available in the second row on the floor!

The TM page small print says...
Additional Information:
featuring Bobby "Blue" Bland, Mel Waiters, Clarence Carter, Jeff Floyd, Latimore, Denise LaSalle, Floyd Taylor, Sir Charles Jones
Good guess, Noah.
