It was Jan 31st last year and cubes were Apr 1st.

I was thinking Jan. 31 too, but in the past I think it has been a little earlier or later (hasn't it?) Maybe I should have done a day by day instead of week by week poll. Maybe hour by hour!

Hmmm, when was the lineup released last year? Swag would know I'm sure . . . I feel like it was end of January the year before last but later last year . . . I'm *hoping* it goes back to sooner.

I think this later announcement gave Quint and the gang enough time to pull of the fest under the most extraordinary of scenarios. I think they may do this from here on out. So I cast my vote for that time frame but want them announced on January 16th-my birthday present :D

No, it was announced on Jan 31st last year. I keep track of all important music festival dates, line-up announcements and ticket sale dates. This goes for Mardi Gras & Red Sox opening day too!

Hmm, Festvet, the article is dated Feb 15, 2006 and says the lineup was announced "today." I do remember it being later than usual . . .

My apologies. Jan 31 was the announcement date in '05. Feb 15 is correct for '06

We announced the Festival would return on Jan 31st last year and the talent on Feb 15th.

hey festydave! Haven't seen you around for awhile...guess you've been busy putting together another wonderful lineup for us? As you can tell, we love the new board...thanks again for that. And the anticipation is building (watch out! Don't step in the drool!!) toward the "official" announcement of the lineup. Come on, 2/15!!!

Red Sox Opening Day, Jazz fest lineup day, NFL opening sunday, and Jazz fest opening day - my favorite 4 days of the year! (I mean, in addition to my anniversary!)

Amy, according to the Times Picayune, apparently they are going to announce the lineup next Thursday - go to the Harry Connick Jr thread that Rosetree put up. It's WAY exciting!!!!!
