i heard irene sage on wwoz earlier....shes really good...never heard of her

Never heard of Irene?? She's from St. Bernard...She used to be Irene & The Mikes with Mike Darby (they played at Checkpoint Charlies alot... been playing around for a long time). She always does back-up with Coco at FQF & Jazz Fest, but is very good on her own.
