Hey Bry, RedSox Nation is EVERYWHERE :D I was lucky enough to be at last night's game and it was a close game up until the 7th. Great series by the Indians....Bring on the Rockies.
And I also think the Pats will be the only undefeated team in the NFL by night's end.

MRG - you were at the game? That's wicked pissah, dude! I can't imagine the noise level at Fenway. I have been there and actually felt the floor shake when something big happens.

Anyway, noticeably light traffic for a Monday this morning...lots of tired co-workers. No wonder! I was so pumped, I couldn't fall asleep.

I don't follow football, but I hear the Patriots are doing well : )

I have a lot of Red Sox fans as friends so its good to know that they are all out there somewhere enjoying today. So congrats to all you BoSox Buddies...that was a quite a rebound over the last the last week.

Plus as a bonus, you get to serve a big cup of "Shut Up" to the many squawking heads on various Sports Networks who were about to go off like a Roman Candle about Manny not caring enough, and what about the example he is setting for the next seven generations, etcetera, etcetera, ad nauseum.

Entering the season, Tom Brady's career passer rating was 88.4.

After seven weeks of 2007, Brady's season passer rating is 137.9. The NFL single-season record is 121.1, set in 2004 by Peyton Manning.

Imagine playing almost half a season, completing 74 percent of your throws, with 27 touchdowns and only two interceptions.

Definitely not for a Pats fans RT LMAO I heard that despite the snow it is supposed to be about 60 degrees for game time on Sat and Sun....

Japes, yes I was at the game and it was as loud as I have ever heard it and I was at Game 1 of the '04 WS

As far as the center of the sports universe, The Bruins are playing suprisingly well also. Definitely we are in no room to complain about anything sports-related.

Does anyone know if Big Papi did the jig as he promised? I couldn't make it through all of the celebration. Maybe he'll do it at the parade.

Chas P - I think it was supposed to be Papelbon AND Beckett doing the jig (unless Papi does one too and I didn't know about it).

So happy to see Lowell with the MVP trophy...

Did anyone see those sh*tty comments from one of the Steinbrenner boys dissing Red Sox Nation, topping it with how the Sox will never be "Yankee Universe" and never be like the Yankee "brand". Sour grapes, heh? 26 World Series rings aren't enough?? You'd expect that kind of talk from fans from both sides, but doesn't team management usually refrain from taking that low road? Oh well.

When and where is that rally? I need to plan my work week accordingly!

They are all saving it for the parade....no jigs on the visitor's field.

Japes, I did hear the comments and I will take the slightly higher road in deference to my TH Yankee fan comrades by just saying 21st century totals-Sox 2 championships, Yanks 0.....just saying :p

They knocked the sox offa the rox, didn't they?
Can't say it was a spine-tingling WS; the CR played like they were asleep! Guess the time off between their last game and the Series was not a good thing.

Boston looked great, however, and they pulled it off for the 2nd time in 4 years! Conga-Rats to the #1 team and all their fans!!! Enjoy your celebrations and the parade!

Gosh, it's sad when it's all over.:( It truly is the end of Summer.

Sissy - thanks for the nice comments. Your location says CVG...is that Cincinnati? Ohio?? If so, I enjoyed the games with Cleveland. Their infielders choreographed their damned double plays so well. I also would have cheered them on had they beaten Boston, because like us, Cleveland fans have waited a long time for a WS title.

MRG, ZBonnie et al - you guys gonna make the rally tomorrow? This Threadhead can't undo her work schedule that quickly, so I hope you'll represent Threadhead Nation with the rest of Red Sox Nation!

And thank you for your nice comments, too. I liked Cleveland this year as well, but they came apart at the seams! And the rest is history, as it is said...

MRG, from what I understand from thenews, it's the players whjo decided on tomorrow (or now today). They took a vote and this was what they picked because they all wanted to get home. Can't blame them for that.

The music and the food were good and they had Abita and Dixie Blackened Voodoo. Darryl Settles the owner has opened The Beehive and it is a good Jazz club. The new owner says that he will continue to have the Jazz Brunch on Sundays, even naming it after his predecessor Settles as well as some funk. IMHO it was even better when it was Bob the Chefs which my parents took me when I was just a roux. The Mardi Gras celebrations were a fun, albeit much smaller, substitute when I couldn't get to NOLA. For what it is worth, the new owner promises the best burger in town.
