Just got home from a Little Feat show in Tarrytown, NY. I've got to get out and see more live music. Even though they aren't what they used to be, they still put on a great show. Beats staying home for the premiere of Gray's Anatomy any day.
I have to give a plug to my long time friend Thom Wolke of Twin Cloud Concerts who promoted the show (and comped my ticket) which allowed me to to hang with the band during intermission and after the show,
Shaun Murphy can sing! She did a version of "Feels Like Rain" that brought tears to my eyes. Gave a big shout out to New Orleans and Mississippi and got a well deserved standing ovation from the crowd.
They did all the usual favorites, more jamming than I remember, but I haven't seen them in awhile.
Kenny Gradney (bass) was the most personable (IMHO). Said they have a new album coming out soon which they did in collaberation with Jimmy Buffett. He also told me they have John Mayer singing on "Fat Man in the Bathtub".
Sorry for the ramblings. I've had a few too many and am off to bed.
