Thanks, first, to all the famous people that did absolutely shit so that Time ran out of people to give it to. Also, thanks to Time for having no shame in naming me (a sometimes drunken,always music loving, random person) person of the year.
Then again, maybe it is a better sign that people who struggle in their daily lives doing good (firefighters, teachers, people trying to rebuild a city without any or little governmental direction) get recognized than the brangelinas, tomkats and whatever flavor of the week that is grabbing headlines.

Yeah, it would have been nicer if they had declared it the year of the volunteer...to acknowledge the many individuals who stepped up with charitable action while their government reps were spending most of the last two years idly passing the pork.
Instead, it looks like Time really wanted to honor all the youtuber strippers and myspace spam kings as well as anyone interviewed by Borat.
Therefore, I've decided to decline the nomination myself.
