I know its early, I still have a few days, but I figured maybe Id get a jump start on all the other guys.
So what do I get the wife?
Ive already purchased the following gifts for her in the past:

Washer
Dryer
electric stapler
wireless keyboard(and mouse!)
4 wine glasses
PS2
Playboy subscription
Im sure there are other great gifts that are slipping my somewhat clouded mind currently.

As you can tell, im running out of great gifts. The PS3 is hard to find, so she will have to wait till Valentines or something.

So, what do you get the girl with everything?

four cases of wine,.. three French maids*,.. two dove bars**,.. and Danny Partridge***

*.....if you want to really enjoy yourself,.. make sure the wine is French too... The maids will "dust" with much added vigor....
**...ice cream or soap,.. your choice ( the soap has a 1/4 cup of real cleansing cream,.. the maids love cleanliness...)
***..If it all goes bad,.. you will have Danny Bonaduce to blame it on... He's an easy patsy... Be sure to keep him far away unless he's needed...

Call one of New Orleans fine jewelers (Mignon Faget comes to mind) and order something fabulous to be sent overnight express!

md, how about an iron and ironing board? She will surely know she's married to the most wonderful man in the universe! Top it off with an ironing board cover that matches the washer and dryer, and well, there's just no telling how grateful she might be!

Myself, I'm hoping I've been a good enough girl this year to find a vacuum cleaner under the tree - either that or a screen door. ;)

Got the Hog already.

Have been looking for a fishing boat- think that would be too transparent?

Skins tix-I had some extras to a recent game. Left them on my windshield for someone to take. When I got back there were 4 more.

Those oven mitts the advertise on tv look pretty cool- silicone or something. Would really help her out cooking my dinner.

Tivo- shes too busy to watch tv, and shes much into bball(nor I ;)

Jewelry- thats a unique idea!

There are some great ideas here. I think the current bored is ok- its not used too much. She has been eyeing this fancy bracket that will hold the board AND iron on the wall. Not sure she would know how to install it.

Good luck with the vacuum. Hopefully it will have many attachments. If you get the Oreck, I think it also works in case you need to spray paint a car. Pretty efficient.

I have to tell the guys- the electric stapler was quite a memorable Xmas, and the story has become family lore. I bet my great grandchildren will still be talking about it.

She prolly doesn't use it much because she's not satisfied with the job she does on your shirts. Buy her a case of Magic Sizing and she'll feel so much better about herself - I guarantee!

My advise would be to not buy her anything that could be used as a weapon in a fit of "rage", you may have already learned this lesson with the electric stapler (wtf were you thinking) a little thought now can safe many stitches later. I now only buy soft gifts, towels, beer cozies, throw pillows, a nice light ladder for cleaning gutters and getting into the attic is always nice, gift cards for local restaurants or liquor stores come in handy.

This thread is hilarious!! MD I'm so glad you're back honey.

Jimmy suggested ESPN The Magazine. And there's always the riding mower. Nothing says I Love You like lawn equipment.

Forget about giving her a gym membership and give her a push mower instead! It's a great cardio and lower body workout. For the upper body workout, you could buy her a weed-eater, just to keep it all in balance. Plus, she'll get all kinds of fresh air. I know you really love her, so I'm sure I don't have to remind you to buy a set of matching earplugs and safety goggles!

I am thinking the Man Show-Girls on Trampolines at less than 8 bucks is a wonderful stocking stuffer for the woman who is into working out

Maybe a recliner, case of single malt scotch or new set of clubs would be sweet for under the tree

I say the Girls Gone Wild box set should do the trick...you could also buy a pole the bedroom....not sure if she could figure out the installation process...maybe you could enlist of some of her girlfriends to help her with that?

There are a lot of great nuggets of advice. Its hard to pick out my favorite, but ill list a few.

1. "remember, his topics of conversation are more important than yours"
2. "dont complain if hes home late for dinner, or stays out all night"

my fav

3. "greet him with a warm smile and SHOW SINCERITY IN YOUR DESIRE TO PLEASE HIM"

I am wondering what they meant by this little tidbit:
"Be a little gay for him and a little more interesting for him. His boring day may need a lift and one of your duties is to provide it"

I think AC/DC said it best: "I want a mistress for Christmas...a woman in red at the bottom of my bed."

She'll love it, and it will take the pressure to meet her other obligations off her shoulders.

Well, md, you can give her a "present", something you would like to see her recieve.
Or you could give her a "gift", something you know she wants. Like this:

That's not any relation to John Bobbit, right? Ouch! But seriously, don't think about starting your shopping until 12/24...you work best under pressure. As for gift ideas, think lingerie...it's for her, but really for you, too. Almost better than a football (Almost). Or, get her a gift certificate to your favorite restaurant...she gets to take you to dinner at a place you love (preferably in NOLA!)...if in doubt, jewelry always gets 'em big time. Just don't buy the Al Qaeda diamonds. Seriously, though, have you considered the Hop Holster? http://www.baronbob.com/hopsholster.htm

More popular than a Kate Spade.
