I have a friend at work who's a bit, well, caustic.

For years he wore a mullet.

As he got older, and greyer, and thinner on top, he finally decided to let go of 'the look'. So he got all the long hair cut off...

When I asked him: Hey, didja donate that thing to Locks of Love?

His reply: Man, them kids don't want some grey hair pony tail sh~!

And you know, quite likely he's right. :)

Freebo, for any future grey mullet-wearing friends (;)) Locks of love accepts grey hair and they sell it to offset the cost of making the wigs.

...i had this big grin while i was looking at you guys in the pix...i felt like i was right there wit ya's!!! a lil confession, about 5 yrs ago i donated my hair (and yes they take grey hair as well)..my mom and i did it together...she mailed her hair off right away...i had to keep mine for a few days...but i did send it along!

ummmm.....not yet....it's not long enough...ya never know....but not sure if I have the balls to do it....

Just fyi....they do take shorter hair as well. As long as it's in a ponytail and sent in, they can use that to sell to make money for the program. The 10 inch minimum is just for what they can use in the children's wigs. But shorter hair and grey hair can be sold.

My daughter did this about two years ago when her hair was past her waist. After she did it, three other girls from her high school did the same thing, too. So, it's contagious!
