Great shots Swag! Mind if I steal that shot of the crawfish at the patry for my facebook profile? It will get everyone's mouths watering.

And if I ever get to missing New Orleans, I can always listen to the talking cooler! Thanks so much Swag, for all you do for the T-Head Nation and all the newbies each year!

Worth the wait! Great shots. Especially like the Phaorah S. & the Patry shots. Neat perspective of Bonerama at the BB Room. My favs were of Deacon John. Really nice!

BTW, first photo, first Friday, Bradley jazz funeral, our very own Big Dave on the right. Also, great close-up of Uncle Lionel, 2nd Sat. Ditto on the compliments for the Bonerama Boom Boom Room shot from the balcony.

Yeah Lis, the crowd went all the way back to the Contemp. Crafts area! I had people IN my booth watching/listening to Irma! (I did have to shoo them away so I could do business!;) )

go for it

Think you, ma deer! I feel so lucky that I saved a spot in the gospel tent for Miss Irma, best cry I had all week! Seeing Mavis Staples next week do a tribute to Mahalia, which I know will be stellar, but have to say Miss Irma's tribute is forever top of the list for me.

i did...and it broke my heart...it's just not long enough...but...we shall see....the great thing about joining this wonderful group is i've enjoyed all the other outings as well, and for fewer bucks. cross your fingers for a cheap furnace that doesn't drain my vacation funds!!!!

Thanks for the pix. That's me and my wife in the lower left hand corner of the shot waiting outside the tent for Irma; I've got a pink rock n bowl shirt, and she's got a yellow jacques ymo (sp?) tank top on.

It was hot out that day.

Easiest solution is for everyone to add him to their 'Ignore List'!

Yes, indeed Tab's Mama is lookin' good, I guess looks are hereditary.
A few years ago all the ladies in New Orleans were saying, "Cosmetic surgery", but I think they may just be jealous.... or they could be right, how do I know??
Either way, quite pleasing....

I really like your pictures you have posted for NO and Austin. I haven't been to many concerts lately but need it this year- you know? Well now i have to decide whether or not to bring my 10 yr old son or leave him with friends and go alone- what do you think? I did Woodstock in 94 and survived, but am concerned with where to park my car. Ha ha sad that's the only thing I have to wonder about. What do you think?

If you neeeeed it and you can find folks to care for your son, I would go that route. But if you cant find anyone, bring him along!

If you stay downtown, leave the car there and take a cab, bus, or shuttle to fest. If you stay elsewhere, drive to the fest and either pay someone in the neighborhood to park or else park for free at Marconi Meadows and ride the shuttle from there.
