This was in today's times and I really liked the article. They say it's "the first of a series of articles about music that flourishes outside the commercial mainstream." Not about NOLA music or anything but a great glimpse of how music is a big part of life in ways and places we might not realize. Can't wait for the rest of the articles.

Thanks- what a great read. I LOVE marching bands and drum corps stuff...this stuff is a big deal in Texas.
