Hey, NOLA Local Threadheads!

My friend Matt, who you may have met either selling beer at Miss Lena's or when he was bartending at the Jazz Emporium (he's working at Arnaud's now) needs some help!

He's been in Pennsylvania taking care of some family issues for a month and now is returning to New Orleans but doesn't have a place to stay. :(

He had given up his apartment to go to his family and the friend he was going to stay with upon his return this week has bailed on him . . . he asked me to find out from the local Threadheads if anyone knows of somewhere he could stay until he gets a new apartment?

oh man, that sucks Lis :( Hope he finds somewhere soon. There's a hostel down there too that could work in a pinch. I don't have the info for it though.

Matty is the funniest guy I ever met. I'm still stealing all his jokes from the beer tent.wish I knew some way to help out.

It just sucks, starting over or again. First and last months rent is tough. Been there and done that.

I sure wish him well althought I have not good contacts there...can send some good threadhead Karma. Doing that now.

Wow, Kitten! So sorry to hear about Matty's tough times! What a great guy. We're a 1,000 miles away, so can't help with lodging, but let him know the Souls are keeping him in our prayers and sending him all our positive vibes!! Keep us posted on how he's making out, please!!

I would have suggested the hostel for a temporary fix so I'm glad he found a place. Has he tried Craigslist? There are lots of apts to share on there. I wish I knew of something.

Thanks, y'all! It sounds like he'll be okay until he can get a new permanent place - I'm sure he'll really appreciate all of your caring and support though! :)

Yes, Tell Matty that he is definitely in my thoughts, ZDK...I know having been there, done that and got that t-shirt that it is a tough situation so good luck to him for sure.
