Ahh, my fave too Kitty! I got the hardbound collection when it came out and read volume I. Just read volume II here in Idaho between unpacking, still great stuff! Saving volume III for when I'm shut in with snow :)

Yeah, I do miss them too - but I get one of their comics e-mailed to me every day from GoComics.com (a very cool site run by Universal Press Syndicate) and that helps with the withdrawal symptoms . . .
The collections do too and will be great for the snowy season up there for sho! :)

Very cool. Even my wife liked this one, except for the part about the cheeseburger.

Not me - my wife. She doesn't like blues, jazz or cheeseburgers. That's why I go to festivals by myself.

Sheesh!
So what DOES she like??
Mainly, she likes horses and trail riding. As for music, she likes Fleetwood Mac (after their blues era) and Chicago. That's literally all. She has a greatest hits CD for each of them, and she alternates them in her truck. That's all she ever plays. Oh, and she likes her truck.
And, she does claim to like me. http://www.nojazzfest.com/chat/images/icons/icon7.gif

Well, who wouldn't like you, Les??!! We all love you! :)
But that is indeed a very handy element to have in a commited, monogamous relationship - liking the other person . . . even if you don't have a lot of things in common. :D
Hopefully, you can encourage her to expand her musical horizons a wee bit - as fine as Fleetwood Mac and Chicago are, she might find other tasty tune treats for her truck. ;)

Well, I forgive her for her love of Fleetwood Mac alone. ;)

I thought maybe she was a vegetarian.
Oh, well...anybody who likes horses and trailriding can't be all bad in my book.
Besides, maybe it's the horses who like Fleetwood Mac and Chicago so much?:)
My Appaloosa likes Pink Floyd and Led Zep, but Wagner & opera freak him out. The sorrel mare gets jumpy with Pink Floyd. The older Paint's fav song is "Jimmy Mac" & he likes stuff from the 80s ( he was born in 1984).
They all like the Supremes and Zydeco.
I always play the Allman Bros. "Statesboro Blues" for them at suppertime. When the guy goes, "Ladies & Gentlemen...The Allman Brothers", at the beginning of the disc, they get really excited because they know they are going to eat!

That usually signifies a lacking graphics element in your browser . . . are you using IE or Mozilla Firefox?

This has never happened before and just what is IE and no, I don't use Mozilla (at least I don't think I do). I hate this poop! I am a user not someone who understands! But I can build you a house or remodel your home for ya!
That is why I pay for a geek to keep me up and running!~ Comes to the house, feed him a great dinner, pass a few bucks and I am a happy lady. :)

It's okay, Miss Belle - take a deep, cleansing breath! :D
Okay, now - IE is the dreaded, evil Internet Explorer which tends to be very insecure and buggy. I and most other tech folks these days recommend using Mozilla Firefox, which is a MUCH more secure and consistent internet browser. I absolutely won't use IE any more, except for the rare instances when I encounter a site that isn't configured for Firefox (the sillies).
Often, IE has problems displaying some graphics - although your internet connection may have some role to play in this also . . . if it's a slow connection (e.g., dial-up), your browser may having problems downloading the image, and thus the placeholder "red x".
Here's an article from Microsoft regarding how to deal with the Red X issue in IE, but to be frank - I urge you to download and install Firefox (which is free) and it can import all of your IE bookmarks, so you wouldn't have any loss of your fave sites. Mozilla download here: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/
