I need some opinions from my fellow Threadheads.
I just finished organizing my HS reunion and I wanted to have a place where people can post their pictures in an easy way.
I have heard of Picassa, Kodak's site, Snapfish. We also discussed just setting a site up (but I thought that might be too hard)
Myspace and Facebook would require registration to post and view.
What would y'all say is the easiest, least cumbersome, way to do this? What would you do? My computer knowledge only seems to get me in trouble, so ease is important. TIA;)

Picasa and Snapfish are good (I think I prefer Picasa to Snapfish), but Flickr is totally easy and free! :D

I don't know about the others but Shutterfly has a service called Collections where people can add pics to one album and also leave comments. BUT you do have to register (free) to upload and comment.

For multiple folks to add just a few pix each, Yahoo Groups is actually pretty good. Plus it supports a message board, file upload, and a few other features. That's what my HS class used for its last reunion.

Didn't Yahoo just email everyone though that they're discontinuing pix and advising folks to move their pix to another forum or they'll lose them? Yahoo acquired one of hte photo sites, I think it was flickr, maybe it will work like Yahoo did . . .

I am looking real hard at Classmates.com also....most of my classmates are on it already. They have a message board and a community page to post pictures...I just want to make the right decision before everyone posts pix and then if it doesn't work out......

If folks are already on classmates.com, that might be the way to go -- it's desniged just for that purpose of classmates connecting and planning reunions, etc.

OH, but do you have to pay extra to be a gold member to post pix or something like that? That's what I seem to recall . . .

I know...there always is a catch...I don't think that it is much...I'm a gold member so I couldn't have paid too much, I'm a cheapskate!!!! LOL

I think maybe $30 for a whole year, you're right, it's not much, and sometimes a small fee can get you better service/privacy than free . . .

Why not just post them to the Kodak picture easyshare site?

That's why I always use. That way people can also order print copies if they want to.
