Hey Jazzy, we are doing Garage A Trois for sure but it is on a Wednesday. Jude is off on Wednesdays so that works well for us.
That is going to be a great one!
Will most likely go to Kimock and George as well.

Not going to miss the Tab show at the Lions Den. The place is not very immpressive to look at, but the sound is great, the place is pretty wide open, and the bartenders are prety attentive so its easy to get a cocktail when crowded.

I'm going to be up in Cape Cod this weekend, or else I would be there. If you go, get there early enough for Gandalf Murphy, just before Sonny. They are a lot of fun....hard to describe...self described as "hill billy Floyd". Check them out....great guitarist.

Yep -- I got to hear her at Old Point Bar along with the Campbell Brothers and a little bit at Ingrids. Very impressed with her voice.
Also, she visited my MySpace and wished me Happy Birthday and commented on my choice of John Boutte as music -- how cool is that! :cool:

Heard that the Lion's Den is fully renovated...including new floor, stage, bar, and bathrooms. Haven't seen it first-hand yet.
Also a new music venue opening on 56th St - Terminal 5 - run by the same folks as Bowery Ballroom and Mercury Lounge. Supposedly will hold 3000. Was formerly a dance club. Luv it when that happens.

A program that illustrates the influence of gospel music on country, rockabilly, and rock n’ roll.
It was the 1960s generation that rediscovered gospel harmonies through groups like The Dixie Hummingbirds;
One of the founding fathers of rockabilly, Sleepy LaBeef, leads a rare coming together of early rockabilly/rock n’roll/blues performers.
Rocker Charlie Gracie topped the charts in the U.S. and Great Britain with his smash “Butterfly” in 1957. Fifty years later, with a successful recording and performing career, he’s still rolling.
Taking the music world by storm a half century ago, the “Rock and Roll Tornado,” Dale Hawkins, is still raising a stir with his rockabilly style.
One of the most versatile R&B/rock entertainers of the 1960s, Roy Head proved he was a music chameleon when he started singing soulful country in the mid-1970s.
With his expressive voice and his “Stride Guitar” style (a two-finger pick style using thumb and first finger), blues man Larry Johnson is at his best when he’s playing live, acoustic blues.
