Yeah, that's what I heard....don't they have a spring or a lake or a pond you can swim in to cool off? Not that it would be available when you're cramming in for a good concert though.....

And drink a lot of water. you sweat and it evaporates right away. I am not sure I even got wet from the sweat. I think I spent more on water than I did on lone Star. Great Festival!

I've been and it is great. The first day and night I never drank an ounce of water....I thought my lower back hurt, ah, no, it was my kidneys! I drank a ton of water after that and since. Everyone learns :)

It's a beautiful area and a ton of fun. I love ACL!

Corona, I don't know. In a perfect world TnT would be there with bells on! I would like to go to see my fav band Indigo Girls (first saw them at JF '95 -- best show of the 27 since then...) I haven't seen them in 3-1/2 years (last in Austin) b/c they haven't played within a 1,000 miles of me since then :(

Hopefully, I will make it the entire weekend, b/c it looks really worth being there. Maybe just Sat. though.

I thought when Funkk said it was hot, it referred to the lineup, but it is awefully hot in September antwhere in Texas as well. I guess Zilker Park has a swimming hole, Barton Springs is close and ideally I would camp at Krauss Springs.

Austin, Tejas, is one BAD ASS town! 6th Street is a mini Bourbon St., the music is a hotbed and the atmosphere and scenery are hard to beat. Cost of living is very high though.

I like to VISIT Austin whenever possible. The Backyard in Bee Caves (outside of Austin) is the best outdoor venue I've ever seen (never been to Redrocks, though). My friends are seeing 311 there tonight and tomorrow night...unfortunately, it is RAINING!

Hoping to make it ACLMF and meeting Swag among others!

ooh Tony...I LOVE the Indigo Girls..I have so many of their cd's but have never seen them live. I've missed both times they were here in the Detroit area because I was out of town....that was so painful. Man, aren't they amazing?!

But it is a cool fest, heat and all.

I love Austin and would love to visit another time of year. Wishing I could go to funkfest because it's inside most of the time.

Just bought the travel pkg to aclf!! If you do this and use a local hotel (i got one for $109 that has a shuttle to airport for free even) for minimum of 2 night stay u can still get the $135 rate for all three days.

OK now Threadhead Nation, whose comin' out to Texas, yeah it'll be hot Baybee...but that'll just be the music...besides...what's a lil sweat between friends? KK, Juana, Fred?? Jazzfestchica?

Difficult to refer to them as the "Girls" anymore, although they are both younger than me. Brand me as a lesbian if you like (and I like!). The truth of the matter is that you will never see a more honest rock band than the IG's.

Corona. Seeing them live... there is no comparison! They never have a stale set...always into the moment...Simply amazing~!

Hey Joey, will not make it to my favorite city this Sept., maybe next year. If you get a chance, check out the Jones Family Singers. They had the tent rocking last year with their Gospel. Please post a review and let us know all about it.
