But as far as hot sauces go....Crystal is not in the same league as Tabasco! Ive had spicier ketchup than that wimpy sauce. Some times if I order wings too hot for my taste, I'll use Crystal to cool them down!
Lets see Crystal go against this baby!

Shoot...that reminds me of one of the funniest things at this past CFF.
I was standing next to Dan fixing bacon on the frill and up walked one of Jazzykebs friend who was camping with us. He said to Dan, "Hey I am sorry about last night, we seemed to have gotten into a pretty heated discussion but I was pretty drunk so I just wanted to apologize"
Dan looked at the guy and then me with a blank look on his face, and I lost it....DAN HAD NO IDEA WHO THIS GUY EVEN WAS! We were all so lit that previous night none of us remember half of what happened!
CLASSIC!

It's what is in my fridge. If i want hot, i eat a jalepeno.
How about 2 long sets of Cowboy Mouth for Friday Night?
8-11 PM
Maybe PGF as the opener for friday? 6-7:30?
4-6 PM slot was slow , every seemed to be catching up with friends.
I am just now coming out of my cave and going outside.
This was a hard one, i felt my age this year. 32, lol

Same here. For me, one set of CM during the day, is cool. But at night, I'd prefer two sets of Terrance Simien, Bonerama, DDBB, Ivan and Dumpstaphunk, CJ, or Soul Rebels before Cowboy Mouth. Maybe a jam session...something with Ivan?

As a vendor, I didn't see anyone Friday night (in fact Michael, we rode around in your cart for a time visiting Threadhead Village ;) ) Friday allowed me to set up and get my act together for the weekend. It was my observation that Friday arrivals spent their time setting up camp and renewing acquaintances.

I think the doors are at 6.

Yeah I keep checking for that Rads set too (and the off chance that the Tab set may show up too). Looks like at least one of the Donna the Buffalo discs is incomplete, as I definitely remember them playing "Family Picture" on Friday night (possibly on Saturday too), yet it's not on any of the song lists for any of their CFF discs. Wonder if they edited them to keep them to one disc?

It's been my experience that these sites aren't always accurate on song titles. Maybe one of the tracks listed is actually Family Picture with the wrong name??

That's a good point, and it's been my experience too. I thought of that while reviewing the other tracks listed and I'm hard pressed to see any of them that could be a mistaken name for "Family Picture," unless it's so mistaken that it has no connection whatsoever to the proper title or the lyrics in the song.

Yes I remember the conversation quite well also! Unfortunately it was quite sobering.... Which is the reason Sharon and I tried quickly to change it! But thanks to some nearby Jello shots and the willingness of that certain Fats lover to completely change the conversation.... Some possible bodily harm was avoided! BUT...we were a little concerned about your possible actions... Dan! ;)

I am consulting my 'Pending Trips' folder which is 3 inches thick! LOL
My flight details are:
AA#2014 departs DFW Thur 4/23 at 9:25pm arrives NOLA 10:45pm.
Late, I know, but the real party will not start til the next day! :)
Let me know if you wind up on the same flight, we'll have a NOLA or Bust party on the plane and everyone else will think we are obnoxious! (at least the wet blankets will ;) )

Hey, not all guys are as good as the one I have, but there are a few out there... Jenn's David comes to mind, first thing... I don't know everyone's hubby, but LisaRI's Joe, too... and then there's some guys here that are also married.. but I won't name names... YOU know who YOU are!
... of course theres some single ones here that I hold in high esteem, too... hehehe, I think they are just sweethearts... can't figure out why they haven't been hooked yet!
it's sort of odd... you know they have the same interests and you have a grand time with them, but you know that old saying about not sh*tting where you eat... you never want to ruin an all ready good friendship, so that's a tough one...

The crawfish fest thread is an appropriate place to put this. Here's my very first ever experience with crawfish! I know! Can't believe it myself. This was at Dallas Arts Festival with Swag. The mudbugs were delicious! And after several, I even got the hang of the tail sucking thing! LOL
Blues Baby...Your doing it all wrong! You Pinch the Tail and Suck the Head! Ask Jersey Girl or better yet, Blues Girl! They both seem to be into the head sucking thing?
"Learned of this just from reading previous posts!" LOL ;)
Well... but now that I think of it theres nothing wrong with a little tail sucking once in a while! :p

After I twisted his head off, I did pinch his little tail, but sucked the other end of it at the same time, and all the meat came out in one big piece. I was surprised that the meat was very sweet. (Not like shrimp.) I didnt suck the head. OMG, I am killing myself over here! YES WE ARE TALKING ABOUT EATING MUDBUGS HERE!!!

I was lucky enough, the first boil I ever attended to be there with my friend Nick. Nick is a Cajun fella, grew up in Thibodaux, lives uptown by Audubon park. I had just had a manicure, and didn't want my nails to get all yucky, so Nick actually picked the crawfish apart for me... and feed them to me. I didn't have to touch 'em! He showed me how to suck the head, too... you don't just suck it like a straw, or else the brains and stuff will pull out... it's sort of gently. I figure he's eaten crawfish his entire life, he ought to know... I can basically do it for myself now, but I still have a hard time twisting the head off the body.
they are tasty lil' devils though... the corn is the best! Oh, so are the potatoes... and the mushrooms... and the sausage... the whole thing is just yummy good.

Dan! ;)
I'm with you Tabby, nothing I hate more than a serious conversation dampening my happy buzz! Why does that always seem to happen 'round 4 in the morning?? :)

Hey Chas, can you hear Krasno's guitar clearly on the FM disc? I wasn't hearing it that well live, but I might want to pick up the disc if it comes through well in the mix.

update from Michael:
Hi Y’all
Thanks to everyone who came out to support us this year.
Most everything went as planned; we did have some bumps in the roads.
We will have new and much more responsible ATM and WIFI companies next year. I was as frustrated about them as you were.
One band did not show up as scheduled. Chuck had to scramble and fill the slots at the last minute. It worked out.
Next year will be our 20th year. I don’t foresee many big changes, more likely it will be more tweaking of what we have now.
Some of the changes include:
• No more fake money. We will accept cash everywhere.
• Working ATM’s.
• Working WI-FI in the campgrounds.
• 50” x 100” tent that will include a stage and a bar. It most likely will go right behind the Will Call Booth, in that small field. It will be on your immediate right as you walk in the gates towards the main stage. I am hoping to have sound and video monitors from the main stage in here also. I am still working out details on this. I would like it to go until 10 PM on Saturday Night for anyone buying any ticket for Saturday.
• The King Crawfish Krewe Package will be improved and will include camping, a Friday night welcome party and reserved seating in the DME Pavilion.
• We will add a new camping area to be named Camp Lafayette. It will border camp Baton Rouge, on the other side of the fence. Some of you have already camped in this area.
• I would like to add a few more food LOUISIANA vendors. I had 2 vendors cancel within 2 weeks of the festival because of high fuel costs to get to NJ.
• The photo galleries will be updated in the next few weeks.
Please visit the message board http://stores.crawfishfest.com/forum/default.aspx and tell us who you would like to see. They must be entertaining, draw, fit in with our theme and be affordable.
Or just tell us what’s on your mind.
The 20th Annual CFF will be held Friday May 29th thru Sunday May 31st, 2009. Mark you calendars.
All tickets will go on sale October 15th.
There are a few more festivals we recommend highly in July.
Briggs Farm Blues Festival July 11th and 12th
http://www.briggsfarm.com
Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival July 17-20th
http://www.greyfoxbluegrass.com/general/home.php
Pocono Blues Fest July 25-27th
http://www.jackfrostbigboulder.com/summer-blues-festival.asp
Congrats to Theresa Sullivan, she won the guitar. Visit the website to see what she decided to do with it.
Thanks again.
