Yes! Don't forget Irma is playing Blues fest at Petrillo a week from Saturday.
Jon Cleary at Fitzgerald's on the 15th. June 22 & 23 - It's payback time for the Rebirth Brass Band at Martyr's. I made a bet with Tuba Phil on the Bears/Saints game last January. If the Saints won, I would have had to send him some Lou Malnati's pizza. With the Bear's winning, they have to play the Bear's fight song!!!! Going to be great!
Other dates:
June 9 - Irma @ Bluesfest
June 10 - Dr. John/Madeleine Peyroux @ Ravinia
June 15 - Jon Cleary @ Fitzgerald's
June 22 & 23 -Rebirth @ Martyr's
June 23 - Wynton Marsalis doing Congo Square @ Ravinia
July 13 - Bonerama @ Martyr's
July 22- Cowboy Mouth @ Sheffield Garden Walk
July 29 - Subdudes @ Taste of Lincoln Ave & Dirty Dozen @ Wicker Park Fest
Aug 24 - NO Social Club @ Pritzker Pavillion
Aug 25 - Geno Delafose @ Summer Dance

Geez, my summer concert schedule is getting full.
BTW, I don't see Irma listed on the Blues Fest site. Eddie Bo, Henry Buter, Wolfman Washington, but no Irma.

Where did you see the Dumpstaphunk Beat Kitchen show? With the Social Club playing the night before, we might get a chance to revive the energy from the Tip's show on May 6.

The Subdudes are playing the new Beverly Arts Center on the southside, I had tickets until I got hooked up with Crossroad tickets! It's located at 2407 W. 111th St. The Lousiana Tourism board sponsers a small stage at bluesfest, I seen Henry Butler there last year.

Got my tickets on Friday. The place in Libertyville is what I think was once the Cubby Bear North among several other things. It may be a touch closer but the Beverly Arts Center sounded like a much more interesting venue than a Lake County bar (there goes my chance to see 80's style hair again).

Cubby Bear North is in Lincolnshire. I know cause my band played the venue. I went to high school in Libertyville but this must be a new place. When I graduated in 84 the only place for live music was the Adler Cultural Center.

The Pritzker Pavillion is amazing. They don't have many shows there or at least the ones they do are usually more spohisticated like a symphony performance. The grounds are too nice for a rock show. I need to see a show there and NOSC may be my first

as far as I know and can recall it's not. They spent a lot of money on that thing. In fact, in the first pic you can see lines on it from where the pieces came together. After it and the park opened they then closed the bean off for almost a year to buffer out those seams and spent a ton of money to do so.
crazy to spend all that but it's truly a great and unique art piece/conversation piece/tourist attraction and that and the park have been drawing in a lot of people

If you haven't been to Chicago in a while, we don't have pigeons. This isn't the 70's or 80's.
Daley doesn't want pigeons, there aren't pigeons
Daley doesn't want rats, there aren't rats
Daley doesn't want an airport, the concrete cutters run at midnight
If Daley wants the Bean clean, the Bean will be clean. Even if it means having Jesse Jackson lick it off himself (You can get a lot for an exclusive Budweiser distribution license these days).

Daley is smart. Like Donald Stephens. He enriches friends, who then reward him with loyalty and benefits, but NOT cash. Daley keeps his own hand out of the cookie jar but enjoys the cookies just the same.

Friend of mine was once a part owner of the Half Day Inn - used to call it the half gay inn.
