I watched and am trying to understand this show. Good dancers gone, poor performers stay, changing partners (do they change everyone?) oh well. by next season I will get it. I do love watching folks dance!

I almost died when Pasha and his partner were in the bottom 3 - they were my top favorite couple! Faini's solo was tepid, she deserved to go. Keeping Cedric for another week and tossing Jimmy was a stupid decision. Although Cedric is trying hard, he does not have the training or the talent to compete in anything other than hip hop. I really enjoyed Nigel's comments that Cedric's dancing suffered when he performed someone else's choreography. Enjoyed the judge's thoughtful commentary and constructive criticism overall. Ditto what you guys said on it not being fair to the girl paired with Cedric, which is now Shawna and she's been fantastic! Ohmigod, Shane is SO HOT - loved the opening routine. Like Cat said, pull the damn cap up off your forehead Shane and stand up, so we can see you! I like her too, she seems friendly, poised and compassionate - and I've always noticed how tall she is! Next to that little chick whatshername, she looks like a giant.

Well, I think they got it right on the girls. Both the first girl (Jessie?) and Faina's solos were blah, but I think the first girl has more overall potential.

I figured it would be Cedric this week too, I was alright with them keeping him over another cookie cutter "trained" boy dancer last week, but he's now proved he can't partner and he's bringing his partners down. I don't think uniqueness should have won out a second week in a row. He will be gone this next week.

Heh heh, you ladies can have the shorties, that leaves more tall boys for me (yum!) :)

I'm sure he got lots of sympathy votes for losing his partner besides the ones given for his dancing prowess. The recap mentions his partner's age, but kindly not her weight. Honestly, the outfit could have been made a little longer to cover those hefty thighs and when Pasha rolled her over his back, I kind of held my breath. I voted for all 3 couples mentioned. I'll be out hearing Lou Donaldson (jazz) tonight, and will miss the results show! You'd better believe I'll be looking for the results when I get home (if I can get online) or first thing tomorrow morning - or maybe call my niece, who's also a big fan (and former aspiring ballet dancer until she hurt her back).

I loved Dominic & Sabra last night. That Rumba was so beautiful. And I agree Zbon, my next fave was Hok and Jaime, and finally Pasha. All of the dancers are awesome though in their own way...i'd be a terrible judge. This is my first season watching...i'm hooked! :)

Seems to be the consensus on the SYTYCD board too. Everyone is crazy pissed over there. I think they need to grab hold of this show....it's kind of out of control this season...the judges seem to be trying to steer it in certain directions and the show itself and america is fighting back. They need to just let the kids go and dance.....this uniqueness over dance ability needs to go...they screwed up with that one and now they're stuck with Cedric. America can make him the next Sanjaya and keep him in as long as they want...out of the bottom 3.....the producers should have left a good thing alone....they should have kept Ricky and they should have kept Jimmy.....and Jessie (but like I said, there's more to the story but they won't tell us). People are pissed about the show in general and I've been crazy frustrated this season too.

yeah, they didn't really provide Hok with the choreography and although they were critiquing (how the hell do you spell that?!) him, they were criticizing the choreography more in some spots :(

I enjoyed that! Mia is great. After last year we said we were going to catch one of her productions!

I'd love to see her work too....she's something! Sam had to dance under her a couple of times....once in Michigan and once in L.A. and man she was by FAR the most difficult choreographer....she absolutely loves and respects her so much. I think Mia and Brian Freedman have been her toughest challenges. Brian gave her a convention scholarship last year and that meant the world to her. I miss him this season :(

Sorry Bonnie on the names....I'm not good with names. Of course it is a popularity contest at this point. The majority of people watching aren't dancers. The majority is a bunch of people like me who watch because it is entertaining. I wouldn't know most of those moves if you held a gun to my head. But I still enjoy watching. The bottom three are determined by the viewers. The judges then have to drop one of those, and as Corona has lamented, they don't always get it right either!
