Lis, I agree that based on what they SEEM to be showing us, a work visa would be sufficient to try out. Now, I'm sure she'd make it on the first try, but just on the off chance she got a stomach flu on the try out day or something, would it hurt to let her start trying a little sooner? The show only takes a few weeks to film, doesn't it? School will still be there ;) (I just wanna watch Sam on TV) :)

I thought everything was pretty great tonight, what do I know! I especially loved the two weird and modern interpretive type dances, always thought that was a style I didn't like!

There's an awful lot of fluff and commercials in here though! I started on TiVo half an hour into the program and was caught up by 1:15 into the show. Boo!

Just read through the posts. Quick comments - Yes, Lacy was amazing and so was the choreography for that dance. I voted for the couple doing the weird tramp/hobo dance. I thought they really connected with each other, had fun and did a great job with some very unusual choreography. I think the partners do change, but at what point, I don't know. I remember last year them picking names out of a hat that matched them up with their partner for the coming week, and somehow determining the dance genre/choreographer they work with. Remember, there's a website that should probably have their pictures and bios up by now.

The part I really like is their solos for the judges, except that they then determine who goes home. The audience has no say. It's frustrating that if you like a particular dancer, but not his/her partner, you still have to vote for the couple and not the individual.

Well Pirate Master was good, I think the outcome was appropriate though I haven't really been watching prior hereto.

SYTYCD now, I'm outta things on the TiVo to watch so I'm stuck watching commercials, there's an awful lot of recap . . .

I liked the intro number. That Wade guy must have done the dance last year where they were all in Victorian like clothes and looked like zombies, kind of like Panic at the Disco? I loved that number. He's too young to have choreographed the Thriller dance, eh? Must have been an inspiration of his :)

Guess what else is coming back? The 4400 on USA. It's like the Heros before Heros, but there's an explanation for the super natural powers. Good show. Big Love is back too, like that show. Oh yeah, and Age of Love is coming, I think that's going to conflict with Hell's Kitchen.

Yup Ames, Wade was the one to choreograph that kick ass number last year...I can't believe how different his chor. is from anyone else. Mia's is always my favorite though. Her choreography is so incredibly passionate. She did Heidi and Travis on the bench last year remember? Man, that was beautiful!

BTW, Sam has informed me that the pic I said of her and Dan Karaty is not Dan but Marty Dew....another hip hopper who was in the movie You Got Served and some other movies. Oops, it was blurry and it looks like Dan lol....she's gonna try to find them cuz Wade and Dan were really young at that time.

Did I tell ya Sam's doing a Windsor So you think you can dance? On June 30th. She's freakin' out now cuz she saw the lineup and they are dancers she competed against over the years....all of a sudden she's REAL serious and in a full blown panic cuz she's doing her own choreography. Most of the others are still competing and using the dances choreographed by their dance school and fee for service choreographers from L.A. Kind of a bummer but she's hoping she gets credit for her own choreography as well as the dance....

Doing good Carly had her first dance recital on sunday, she did great, and at the end of the show her school had their annual awards & she got best dancer in her age group 5/6 year olds! Cool Fathers day present!:)
